Welcome!
I invite you to explore OWN's curriculum, mission, and educational philosophy on these pages. See what we are doing and what we have accomplished. Then I urge you to visit our school and see our vision brought to life. OWN is a stellar place for learning and achieving. Learning is active. Teachers uses activities that guide children toward knowledge and the mastery of skills through imaginative exploration. Children understand that the process of figuring something out is as important as the answer. We know that Our World Neighborhood Charter School is a remarkable place for children to grow and learn.
Respectfully,
Brian Ferguson
Executive Director

The majority of students join OWN Charter School in Kindergarten. However, families are encouraged to apply for any grade and will be considered for admission as space allows. Each year, we welcome approximately 100 new students. |
An application pack can be picked up at either the elementary or middle school offices.

Re-enrollment For Current Students
|
As a current member of the OWN family we want to let you know that we value the relationship that the school has been able to develop with you over the last year. OWN is pleased that from one year to the next so many families have chosen to re-enroll their children.
|
In order to hold your child's seat for September 2010, you must re-enroll your child. In December 2009 a re-enrollment form will be mailed home and also sent home with your child. You must complete that re-enrollment form and return it to the school by February 5, 2010.
Failure to complete and return a re-enrollment form to the school by February 5, 2010 will result in your child losing his or her seat for the upcoming school year. Please take the time to complete the re-enrollment form and to submit it to the office in a timely manner.
If you have any additional questions about the re-enrollment process let me refer you to page 16 of our Parent Student Handbook, or you may contact Mrs. Ranchor.
